AI-Based Smart
Enforcement System

Client: Directorate of Geology and Mining, Government of Madhya Pradesh

Industry: Mining and Enforcement

Challenge
The rise in demand for minerals has led to a surge in illegal mining and transportation, posing severe environmental, economic, and social threats. Traditional monitoring methods were insufficient to curb these activities effectively.
Solution

Shaurya Technosoft developed a revolutionary AI-Based Smart Enforcement System, leveraging advanced AI technologies for monitoring, detection, and enforcement. The system includes unmanned AI-powered check gates, a state and district command and control center, and a decision support system (DSS).

Impact
  • Reduction in illegal mining: Enhanced monitoring and real-time detection of unauthorized activities.
  • Increased revenue: Minimized revenue pilferage by ensuring transparency in inspections.
  • Efficient oversight: Enabled centralized monitoring and coordination through a dedicated Command and Control Center.

Key Features
  • AI-Powered Check Gates: Equipped with ANPR cameras, VF cameras for vehicle and mineral analysis, RFID readers, and weight-in-motion sensors.
  • Command and Control Centers: A state-level center and 30 district centers oversee data collection and enforcement activities.
  • Decision Support System (DSS): Facilitates vehicle tracking, dashboard-based data analysis, e-challan issuance, and evidence collection.
  • Field Inspection Tools: RFID-enabled handheld devices for on-site inspections of suspicious vehicles.
  • Weigh-in-Motion Sensors: Record gross vehicle weight without requiring vehicles to stop.

Status

Three check gates have been successfully installed, with plans to establish 40 check gates and implement the Weigh-in-Motion system at two locations soon.
